Our Building
Thomas, Ferguson
& Mullins moved in November 1998 to renovated offices
next to the Durham County Courthouse on Main Street.
The firm spent 10 months designing and reconstructing to
preserve the character of the historic structure and contribute
to the architectural style and elegance of the downtown area.
The Historic Preservation Society of Durham recognized the
firm for its effort in 1999 by presenting the firm with the
prestigious George and Mary Pyne Preservation Award.
The original structure, called the F.M. Glenn Building, was
built at the turn of the century to house a restaurant. In
1943, the Parrish family bought the property and opened The
Wee Shop. It soon became “the” place to shop for
fine women’s clothing. The Wee Shop remained in operation
until December 1997.
